Our last newsletter talked about spam blockers and the reason many people do not get newsletters or sometimes not even their reciepts or download instructions for purchases.
It is very important that if you decide to join a newsletter for information or if you decide to make
a purchase, to ad the website or email client to your white list. This will ensure that you will
recieve whatever you are expecting.

Today we will talk about ways to "build your list".
Now, there are a lot of ways to build a list. I have read about a lot anyway. The ones that I have applied myself that are working for me:
Forum posting: There are 2 forums that I visit and post in regularly. If I can help someone, I post. If I cannot, I don't. Never spam! Don't just go to forums to advertise your business. Visit the forum/s if you have a need yourself. There are a lot of people that have aleady "hashed" through something you are trying to accomplish.
And, there are quiet a few there that have Not been where you are. There is always, things to learn and things to teach. Just remember, Do Not waste your time in a forum. Visit. and if you do not see anyone asking about anything you can help with, or some- thing that will help you. Leave!
If you do post. always include your URL. If you have'nt done this before, it is simple: Enter your name in the form. Always! You want people to get to know you. Don't use your "pet name". Use your real name. You have nothing to hide! Include a subject. Fill in your response.
At the bottom you will see a space to enter your URL in the first box: Optional URL.Directly below that, You have an optional image. Enter whatever text you want people to see. "MY SITE", or Please preview my site. Whatever you want. I have never used it, but there is also a place to enter an img. Like if you want to show the cover of a book you sale or promote. You would enter: img.src=???? here. If you use this feature also, People will see your image. With your "link" below it. In doing this, you Will have people click on your link and view your site. Some will join if they find information they are interested in. If your newsletter is not directly related to the theme of your site, you should list what the content is on your sign up page.

These are easy to follow and easy to read/post in. I will be adding a list to my website soon, of others. Check back to my Easy Search page for updates.
To find good "targeted" traffic through forums, simply go to Google and do a search: "your business"+forums.
This will get you a list of forums that are "specifically" about the business you are in!

Another place I have recieved traffic from:
Adland Pro: Another free network. Again, you get your own homepage. And your own free ad. However, In order to get multiple ads placed you have to upgrade. But just the free use is available and will get your ad seen. As well as give you an opportunity to meet more people and discuss internet Adlandpro
These are the only "Free" services that I will talk about. There are a LOT more that I have come in contact with that I don't talk about. Especially, free traffic and free list services. Please don't mess with those. From my own experience, I will tell you, You will just get a lot of bogus traffic, that will do no more than make you Think you are getting somewhere. And a lot of "spam"!

There are a lot of ways for the affiliate marketer or anyone else in any sort of business to advertise online. Pay-per-click, Ezines & Newsletters, Classifieds, Ads on other sites, Link Exchanges, Forum submissions, Blogs, Free profile pages. To name a few.
Some are free, others may cost a little.

Pay-Per-Click For any marketer, whether you own a website or just advertise products for other people, pay per click is the most widely used form of advertising on the Internet. Although, it can be very costly if you do not know what you are doing. This is one I strongly suggest you study before trying to implement.
Link Exchange Link exchange is for the webmaster. Free service. Creates inbound links to your site, which the SE's like to see. Gives you more traffic. However, the sites you trade links with should be relevant to yours. If you sell gifts, you do not want to link to information products, unless the product is about gifts. Also, stay away from link farms.
Forum Advertising Forums are a great place to go for advice. You can get some recognition if you are friendly and offer advice to others about problems they have. You are awarded with the opportunity to post a link to your site or product.
Advertising through Blogs Another form of free traffic generation. Start your own blog. Blogs are growing. Write what you learn in it pertaining to your business daily. You will soon have an eager following of readers.
Niche Marketing the best marketing concept to get you to the top in the SE's. Corner your Niche. Find the best products to market.
Advertising through newsletters or Ezines The money is in the list! Start your own ezine. Set up your subscription form. Offer good information about your product or business, and get your revenue coming in.
Advertising with free profile pages Meet lots of interesting people. Get ideas for business. Advertise your business. Another link back to your site.
